PARKER ROMO

Parker Romo is a placekicker known for his powerful leg and accuracy. Born on June 9, 1998, Romo began his college football career at Virginia Tech before transferring to Texas-San Antonio (UTSA). At Virginia Tech, Romo played as a walk-on and contributed to the team's special teams, but it was at UTSA where he truly made his mark. Over his career with the Roadrunners (2017-2021), Romo became one of the top kickers in the program's history. He set multiple school records for field goals and extra points made, earning First-Team All-Conference USA honors and becoming known for his clutch kicking ability. His longest career field goal at UTSA was 53 yards.

After going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, Romo remained determined to pursue a professional career. He had brief stints with the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears during training camps and preseason play, gaining valuable experience and refining his craft as a kicker.

In 2023, Romo signed with the New Orleans Saints as a free agent and competed for a placekicking role. Though his opportunities with the Saints were limited, Romo impressed in offseason practices, earning respect for his consistency and work ethic.

As of 2024, Parker Romo is with the Minnesota Vikings, where he serves as a backup kicker. Romo continues to provide depth and competition at the position, with his strong leg and accuracy making him a valuable asset to the team’s kicking game. His perseverance and performance under pressure have kept him on the NFL radar as he seeks to establish himself as a reliable kicker in the league.
